I stopped reading there, I do agree with your points but I cannot help it and will press on.
That is the entire reason graphics will be updated, network traffic (next year, infiniband or whatever it is) improved and hardware increased (ramsan, blades).
I would hate an eve2, it would kill the niche market, besides they tried it in china and it kinda flopped.

Op, please do not misunderstand me, I intend no flames here, it is just a matter that lies close to my heart, I love eve and wish nothing but the best for the game I/we know and love here, and I feel that would upset the delicate balance we have right now.
Hope you understand my point.
(I am glad it was tongue in cheek btw)
